Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Students,

On behalf of our faculty and staff, I am happy to welcome you to another school year! We are looking forward to exceeding your educational expectations each day by establishing a productive and positive partnership. Through this partnership, we hope your children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.

Please consider joining our PTO and become a school volunteer as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school’s programs and operations.

Safety and student supervision are of utmost importance at Dr. William A. Chapman Elementary School. A MDCPS police officer and school security personnel will be in our campus every day. All visitors must present an official government identification to enter our school building. It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year.

The wonderful Dr. William A. Chapman Elementary School staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to meeting you. If you have any questions about the rules and expectations, please feel free to discuss them with your child’s teacher or contact the school to speak with administration at (305) 245-1055.

Sincerely,
Tania L. Burns
